“My friends all over the country and the world have been calling me over this incident to confirm whether l was still alive. You can see that l am alive and kicking.”
The rector said he had already briefed his lawyers, demanding that they take legal action against the online newspapers.

This Beautiful Sick Female Corps Member Allegedly Died After Being Forced To Partake In Military Drills At Kano Camp

There are tributes to this young lady on social media, by people who claim to know her. The corps member allegedly passed away after she was forced to partake in some camp activities, even though she was sick.
A lady at the camp also states that the lady in question died due to negligence, because “they (officials) assumed she was pretending to be sick in order to dodge parade, so they refused to treat her until the situation got complicated.” The Nigeria Police and other appropriate authorities definitely need to get involved and investigate this.

Caught!! Waec Bans Two Schools For Examination Malpractice (Full Story)

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has barred two secondary schools in Imo State from registering as an examination centre or presenting their students as candidates in any of its examinations for a period of 5 years.
Reports stated that The council also derecognized 28 schools for two years as a result examination malpractices.
The Head, Public Affairs of the council, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, who disclosed this on Thursday declined to name the affected schools, he said the schools are usually referred by their centre numbers and not by their names.
He added that WAEC officials were locked out for more than 30 minutes in the second school obviously for examination malpractice to perpetrate.
He noted that as for the derecognized schools, examinations will still hold in their schools but their teachers will not be used as invigilators.
He added that there are 28 of those schools across the country and they can still reapply after two years, stating that things have been put in place to prevent a recurrence of examination malpractice.

!! Update!! Ambrose Alli University school fees hike.. (VC must go)

The students of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma
are calling on the state government for the urgent
remover of the school VC for trying to politicize the
students peaceful protest against the school fees
hiked by the management without putting the
students future into consideration.

The students have accused the Vice Chancellor for misinformingthe general public, tagging the protesters PDP supporters and anti-Godwin Obaseki which is nothing but false of the highest order by a man who was never recorded to pay school fees in his life-but paid by community and the then Bendel State government.

According to one of the students who pleaded that
name should be withheld, we love our governor,
we congratulates him on his victory and we are
ready to support his government therefore the students will not accept any politics to excuse cruelty by the vice chancellor and the school management.

All we want is reduction of exasperated school fees increment, we have nothing against our governor and the students will not give up their fight until the fees is humanly reduced he stressed.

Update from FOCUS

‘Please Call Off The Strike’- Atiku Begs ASUU

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities to suspend its strike action and embrace negotiation with the government.
The university lecturers had on Wednesday commenced a one-week strike over failure by the Federal Government to implement the 2009 Agreement and 2013 Memorandum of Understanding.
Speaking during his 70th birthday celebration in Yola on Thursday, Atiku said his concern was about the children who would be out of school, while calling on the union to shelve the strike action.
He said,
“My call to ASUU is for the sake of the education of our children, I call on them to suspend their strike action and continue negotiations because I believe at the end of the day an amicable resolution of the issues in contention would be reached. The most important thing is to think of the children not going to school.”
The former Vice President also reiterated his position that if he had been the President of Nigeria, the Boko Haram insurgency, which had plagued the North Eastern part of the country, would not have existed, saying the absence of strong political will and courage in dealing with the uprising was to blame for the lingering situation.

Aau ekpoma : SUG president comments on

After the long and irritating silence by the SUG president of Ambrose Alli University ekpoma Edo state. He finally speaks out and this time for the benefit of the students.
*Office of the S.U.G President (Comr Khalifa Oshiomhole).*
This is to inform the general public once again that the current SUG President and all other excos are totally against the appointment of a caretaker Committee.
It is obviously clear that the management are not ready to reduce the school fee and have therefore decided to  appoint a so-called caretaker Committee which will be answerable to them. The said S.U.G appointees were formally nominated to preside over the affair of the school fee among the 10men Committee which was set up by the manage and they failed to work or speak in interest of the students.
I therefore stand to say that the school fee must be brought back to status quo and we stand against a caretaker government in Ambrose alli University. It is unacceptable.
This people that have been appointed are there to fish out all 200L students who have been fighting for the reduction of the school fee. Which means every one that participated in the previous peaceful protest are currently at risk as the said caretaker Committee have been instructed to fish them out.
I am urging all students to stay at home till the school fees is reduced, No Reduction, No resumption.
As the outgoing SUG President who has not handed over, I have decided to stand for the right of the students in order for the school fee to be brought back to status quo and for the newly appointed SUG Committee to be dissolved with immediate effect
Signed: *Comr Khalifa Oshiomhole, S.U.G President.*
#The question now is,  is he really for the student or is this another political propaganda?

Report on ITV session with Ambrose alli university AAU managemen....Protest

Report on ITV session with AAU management

The management of Ambrose Alli University were live on ITV this morning. Present in the media house was the school PRO and the new Dean.

The school PRO and the new Dean insisted that the protest of the students was uncalled for and also stated that alot of damages were sustained by the school.

They further said that soldiers who were present came on their own and no student was shot, the PRO continued that the soldiers were cautioning the students with Koboko. He surprisingly went further to say that the boy shot on the leg got a fracture while running and that he was not shot, meanwhile all responses from the new Dean showed he concurred to what the PRO had to say

It should be recalled that after the first peaceful protest which took place in Benin, the PRO in a call with ITV said that the persons who were protesting in Benin were not students of Ambrose Alli University, in his words "If you look at it very clearly, the protesting people do not even look like students.

The PRO kept on using the word "A group called NANS" during the interview section in order to make the NANS body look illegal to the general public but he admitted that it was a legal body when the interviewer cautioned him on the use of the words "A group", on admitting that it is a legal body recognized by the federal government, he alleged that the NANS president is acting without the support of the people he is presiding over.

The New Dean went on to say that since there is no SUG body now, a caretaker committee would be set up, the selection would be made from students across the 12 faculties of the school under the supervision of NANS in order to dialogue with the school management.

Meanwhile, the hospital where the student who was shot on the leg received treatment, has refused to release the report of the X-ray carried out on the leg and the students have vowed not to take it lightly with them.

Students of Ambrose Alli University are ready to go on Air, to speak with ITV in order to clear the allegations of the school.

In a chat with some of the students, they criticized the school management for deceiving the general public who were not at the scene of the protest, a 200Level student who pleaded anonymity said "How can a man with children and grey hair open his mouth to lie so badly without conscience? How can the PRO look at a student who was shot on the leg, and is currently using clutches to support his movement and say that he got a fracture while running?"

Meanwhile, there is an impromptu meeting between students with interest to the reduction of the fees and the meeting is slated for 4PM today at Idumebo, Oxford junction to be precise and anyone present in school as at now is required to be present.

Expert Reveals What Donald Trump’s Presidency Will Do To Nigeria

The President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Dr Frank Jacobs, says the United States of America may reduce support in terms of grants and aids to Nigeria considering the conservative orientation of the Republicans.
Donald Trump’s Republican view, might pose a problem for which lending a helping hand to Nigeria will be extremely difficult, experts say.
Dr Jacobs told newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, November 16, that it was rather early to predict what the economic outlook of Nigeria would be in respect to the U.S. election.
“It is likely that the country may receive less material, moral and political support.
“Policies and programmes of the Republican government might also not be favourable to some Nigerian illegal immigrants, based on the campaign speeches of the President-elect,”Jacobs said.
Jacobs said that such immigrants, especially nonprofessionals, would be a burden on the country when they return. According to him, Nigerians have contributed to the building of the American economy over the years, adding that Nigerian professionals had been making waves in the US.
“If such professionals return to Nigeria, they will help to develop the country in various professions.
“Their activities may also help to salvage the nation from the current recession and build a virile economy, ” he added.
During his campaign, U.S. President-elect, Donald Trump, had taken a swipe at political leaders in Africa on account of the level of corruption and economic backwardness on the continent.
Trump said African leaders were bad examples for leadership and recommended that the continent be re-colonised.
“In my opinion, most of these African countries ought to be recolonised for another 100 years, because they know nothing about leadership and self governance.”
Meanwhile, former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has congratulated the President-elect of the United States of America Donald Trump. Fani-Kayode’s congratulation to Trump comes after his release from Kuje prison in Abuja on Monday, November 14.
The former minister was remanded in Kuje following an order from Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for money laundering charges.
Speaking to journalists at the court after perfecting a N50 million bail condition given to him, the former minister congratulated the Trump on his victory.
Fani-Kayode who has been an ardent supporter of Trump said the US, Africa and indeed Nigeria will benefit from the leadership of the new US President-elect.
Supporting Trump, Fani-Kayode said the new American president-elect will not tolerate religious fundamentalists and human right abuses.

Singer Dbanj Dragged To Court Over N100M Debt (Read Details)

Nigerian Afropop star, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known by his stage name as D’Banj, has reportedly been sued by a company, Mindhub Technologies, over N100m unpaid debt.
Pulse is reporting that the singer purportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the technology company on October 19, 2012, for the promotion of a concert organized by his media house, D’Kings Men Media LTD.
The contract agreement had it that Dbanj would be personally liable for the payment of the money in the event that D’Kings Media fails to pay.
However, when Dkings Men media failed to pay back, the company called for the repayment from the ‘Kokomaster’ and he reportedly paid only $260, 000 and N8, 600, 000.
Dbanj had reportedly issued a Skye Bank cheque No. 10000039 on December 29, 2013, for the sum of $240,000 in the name of Henry Ojogho, Mindhub’s Vice Chairman.
Reports say the cheque was returned unpaid due to lack of funds in the Dbanj’s account.
D’banj issued another GT Bank cheque No.00000046 dated January 20, 2014, in the sum of N15, 000,000 in favour of Mindhub and it was also returned unpaid.
He reportedly left the outstanding sum of $240, 000 and N6, 400, 000.
Following the outstanding debt, the company has legally taken up the issue as they said all efforts made by them for him to pay, proved abortive.
As a result, the company reportedly filed a suit in 2015 against D’banj to recover the money.
The case, which would be due for hearing on December 9, is currently before Justice Oyebanjo of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division.
All efforts by Naijaloaded to get across to the singer were abortive as at press time as his phone numbers were unavailable.
